One Ocean Marine LTD was born out of a simple observation: the best recruiters are those who have lived the life. We aren't just HR specialists sitting in an office; we are former crew; Captains, Engineers, and Pursers.
We know the difference between a busy charter season in the Med and a remote exploration trip in the Pacific. We understand the pressure of a shipyard period and the etiquette required for UHNW owners.

Tim Churchley
Director ​

Tim brings extensive experience from the superyacht industry, supported by his MCA Master Mariner (Unlimited) licence and years spent operating at the highest level of the sector.
​
Having worked across a range of demanding environments onboard, he has developed a deep understanding of the technical, operational, and interpersonal standards required for success within top-tier yachts. This firsthand experience enables him to identify candidates who are not only highly skilled, but also adaptable, reliable, and aligned with the expectations of life at sea.
​
As a Director, Tim is passionate about elevating recruitment standards across the industry, placing exceptional, thoroughly vetted candidates who match both the technical demands of a role and the unique ethos and culture of each yacht.

His approach is grounded in discretion, integrity, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Will Beresford
Director

Will is a certified Master Mariner (unlimited) with over 20 years’ experience at sea, including 15+ years in the superyacht sector on some of the world’s most iconic vessels, following an earlier commercial maritime career.
​
He has served as Captain on large yachts, including complex new builds and refits, developing a strong understanding of the technical skill, discretion, and reliability required of top-level crew.
He specialises in polar operations and explorer vessels.
​
As a Director, he focuses on placing yacht crew for ultra-high-net-worth clients, with an emphasis on long-term success and cultural fit.
​
His approach is practical, considered, and detail-driven - shaped by years of working in the same environments he now recruits for.
​
Outside of work, he is a father of four, and values balance, trust, and stability — principles that underpin his work with both clients and crew.

Alex Churchley
Head Recruiter

Alex is our Head Recruiter, bringing a well-rounded perspective shaped by both onboard and shoreside experience.
​
She spent five years as a rotational Purser, following earlier roles as a Stewardess and PA to an ultra-high-net-worth individual.
Supported by a business degree, she progressed into senior operational positions where organisation, discretion, and precision were essential.
​
Now working shoreside after starting a young family, Alex understands both life at sea and the transition to land-based careers. She is passionate about supporting candidates at every stage — whether advancing within the yachting industry or successfully moving into shoreside roles — with a practical, empathetic, and detail-focused approach.
Our Philosophy (Why We Are Different)

We don't flood Captains' inboxes with CVs. We send three to five highly vetted candidates who we know can do the job.
